I did it!

My 100th post! I actually followed through something without giving up halfway through! In August I was having a hard time personally and I didn't blog for about three weeks. I almost stopped completely - but it was my aunt who encouraged me to start again. She was the one who got me started blogging in the first place.

I was thinking about what I could blog about that related to the number 100 - and I drew a blank! So instead, I'll show you the Playdoh idea I got from Parents magazine. I let them use Playdoh outside this summer and was not happy about letting them use it indoors over the winter. My cousins with kids told me the horror stories about picking it out of the rug, off the furniture, "let it all harden and then sweep it all up!" Ugh. Well ...

All I do now is have Andy save the small boxes that the bottled water comes in! The boxes were a slippery on the table, so I used a little tape to hold them down. Definitely helped! (Flipped the tape into a loop.) The playdoh stays in the box, and whatever little pieces don't make it back into the round container are easily dumped into the garbage can. I am going to try finger painting with them using these next week. The possibilities are endless!

See those nice colors? Bright blue and sparkling red? Now they have congealed to a dull mottled purple. Playdoh memories ....

Thanks for being here for my first 100 - hope you'll still be here at 200!

PS - My wallpaper is yuck. I am thinking of stripping it all down and painting the walls a nice light pink. Andy'll flip.

That is a great idea with the Playdoh. You certainly do a nice job of keeping them organized, neat and clean! These are good habits to keep, as I have issues with being organized, neat & clean - LOL!
I will be there for you, post after post after post!!!!!

Happy 100 and I'm sooo glad you have kept up the blogging and posting. Yippee!
That playdough idea of yours is phenominal, I'm serious. You should patent it and come up w/ a playdough tray for many "play" uses other than playdough.
Wallpaper: I need to rip some in my house down as well. Pink........well, I have to say B has a pink room, but I'm not so sure about it in the kitchen. {just keeping it real for you girl} My grandma had a light pink kitchen w/ black accents on the walls.......well, now that I think about it...it wasn't that bad. Ok, if you want pink then go for it. Don't think I'm being mean ok, cause you're one of my favorite blog friends!

Congrats! I've been blogging since Aug. 2008 and haven't a clue of what post I'm at, I never look. That is a cute idea for sure, until they start throwing it at each other, hahaha! I sure am glad you didn't give up blogging or we would have missed each other. I love small children, have worked with them my whole life......

Happy 100th post and what a great idea for the playdough! I'm a teacher and we use foil on the desk in the classroom. The rule is that it has to stay on the foil and for MOST, that works perfect! I think I like the box idea better!
Here's to 100 more posts! =)
