It either rains or it pours!

It seems like my life runs in cycles. I either have all the time in the world to blog and can't think of a thing to write, or I am busier than rooster in a hen house, but have a ton of things to say.

Right now I am in the second phenomenom - minus the poultry.

1. I have great pictures of the girls playing outside in the beautiful weather yesterday!

2. My new digiscrap hobby is going well - but I can't find the time to do that, either!

3. I have more laundry than is humanly possible for four people to make. It goes against physics.

4. I miss my Blogger friends. :( I am going to try to make the rounds this afternoon and leave lots of lovely comments!

I got a new camera - but I'm not supposed to tell anyone because it's my Christmas present. So don't tell anyone I told you. And don't show anyone these absolutely amazing, awesome pictures. I am writing in a really small text size because I am whispering ...

(I don't know why I like this last one so much, but I do. Probably because no way in a million beans could my last camera ever capture such an image. I think it's cool.)

Time to give the place a once over

Thanks to an episode of Sesame Street, my Katie has a new love of fireflies. They did an episode on how sad it was to keep them in jars. :( It made me question my whole childhood. Katie calls them "butterfyes!!!" and likes to yell the word at the top of her lungs. (Poor child can't say her Ls.)

Yesterday, we were playing in the livingroom and a sunbeam was coming in through the front door. She started yelling "butterfyes - butterfyes!!!" and grabbing at the sunbeam with a big smile on her face. I looked to see what she was doing.

Then I got depressed.

"No, honey. That's dust."

Sneeze ... cough

We are sick. All of us. The girls are through the worst of it, they both had fevers - which always makes me nervous. It is just starting to hit me bad - and Andy has a milder version of it. I will be back soon - promise!

The new "Twin Law" passed here in the great state of NJ the other day (thank you Governor Corzine!) and we twin moms (and moms with triplets, quads, etc.) now have the final say-so in whether or not our children are separated or kept together in school.

Right now I plan on keeping them together for pre-school and kindergarten and separate them for 1st grade and beyond. I like having the choice. There are plenty of moms of multiples out there who want their kids to stay together all the time, and that is their absolute right. Just as you shouldn't think of a set of twins as one person, you shouldn't think of twin moms as one standardized group of people either.

Our local paper, The Daily Record, covered this today. Yours truly was interviewed, and although I spoke with the reporter for about 15 minutes, I only got one line quoted! Bummer! :) And my last name is spelled wrong! Oh the shame! My fifteen minutes of fame whittled down to 30 seconds. I suppose I'll live!

What I've been doing while I've not been blogging

Well, hello there. Haven't seen you in a while. I know ... I know ... I've been a tad remiss in updating this blog lately, but that's only because I have craziness in my life right now and I am waiting for it to settle down.

When we last left off I was visiting my Aunt Audrey and Uncle John down in Long Beach Island. Then the counter on my site was having problems on their end and it shut down my site (and others) for a while. I think it took a few days to fix itself, and I couldn't access my page either - but by then my daily habit of blogging had slipped, and once I lose a good habit, bad habits start to sneak in. Like room escape games, and LOST, and recaps of shows I am interested in but can't be bothered watching. So instead of blogging about the inner most intracies of our life - I instead choose to veg on wiki.

So, I will be back tomorrow with more laughs, insights, and plain old entertainment for y'all!
