French Dresses Day!

When the girls were only a couple of months old, my mom was invited to go to France by her boss and a group of his friends for his birthday. We literally had to push her out the door! If that was me, I would be at the airport 3 days in advance, like those people who wait for the newest iPhones to come out.

I asked her, since she was going to be in France anyway, could she pick up the girls some berets to wear when they get older. I love me a good beret. She came home with something even better. The most adorable dresses I have ever seen. My mom knows I am very picky with my clothes, and just as picky with the girls, but she had a feeling I would love the dresses - and she was right.

The only thing -- they are still big on them! They are a size 2 - who knows what that means in French - but they really are big around the torso. My fear was that they would be too small to wear next summer - so I whipped out some safety pins (with the blessing of my friend Carol) and - as they would say on any SNL Gap skit - I cinched it. Here are the results. OK - one more time ... I LOVE THIS DRESS!
