Random Rosies

Hey all ... just a little post here ... to keep you on your toes ...

1. I caught the girls' cold. Ugh. I thought I was going to sidestep it, but it apparently had other plans. It hit me about 11pm last night - all day long I was fine!

2. I am more excited than I can possibly express about getting my living room fixed! I called the electrician today and left him a message. We have to coordinate with him and the contractors so lights are done before the sheetrock on the ceiling.

3. I can't find the lens cap to my new camera! Aaah! Say a little prayer to St. Anthony for me (if you do such things! hehe)!

I am working on a few posts (we've had lots of visitors lately!) and a slideshow - hopefully will be done by tomorrow. Here's a pic to tide you over ...

This is what the living room looked like when we first moved - in August of '07. Biggest gate imaginable (it was actually two of the same type linked together). Andy took a gate-door from a different set and rigged them together because I was killing my back lifting them in and out of this thing!

Rosemarie,

That's terrible that you caught the girl's colds. I hope you feel better soon! I am sure you are excited about your new living room. I can't wait to see pictures! That is the biggest gate I have ever seen!

Did you get spammed up there? Sorry you feel bad, great photo. My day sucked and I seem to be telling everyone. One with pneumonia, one calling long distance as she watched an apt. burn. A call from the hospital at 10:34 my son was a victim of a home invasion and beat in the head with a gun. Took the Dr. 45 min. to stop the bleeding, son and friends shoved in the bathroom to count to a hundred, my son's blood was spraying all over the house while the bad guy made him walk around and give him stuff, they weren't allowed to look at the guys, they threatened to kill them, they even took the food. It is truly something out of a movie. I am going to post about it, I am pissed and scared. He is with me now, looks like he was in a war zone!

Sorry you caught the cold. I hate being sick. And man, that is one awesome gate! I imagine more gates are in our future.

Hi Rosemarie - I am your Aunt Audrey's first cousin-once removed (sort of) from your Uncle John's side. Actually, I'm not sure what that makes Audrey and I. Hee hee. Anyway I have been a lurker on your site for a few months, since I am intrigued with parents of multiples ;-). And your stories are very real and interesting. Anyway back to the matter at hand - this is certainly the time of the cold - I moved from Hoboken to Manhattan a few weeks back, and I hadn't been sleeping or eating correctly. Trust me when I tell you I NEVER get ill (ok, knock wood know LOL) - I swear by neti pots, green tea and citrus. In any case, I was around two friends who both had colds and my mom on moving day, also had a cold. Voila! It was like my body was waiting for me to be moved into my new apt - and then it hit me! So definitely take care of yourself and I can tell you, the neti pot has worked wonders for me. Take care and happy new year :)
